Portrait of Uon Vichetr

Uon Vichetr

Founder, Industrialist & Philanthropist

Uon Vichetr's career began not behind a desk but in the field, working the corridors of Cambodian agricultural trade at a time when the country's investment landscape was still taking shape. Over nearly twenty-five years, he built a reputation as a trusted advisor to investors navigating Cambodia's regulatory and commercial terrain, an experience that gave him a grounded, practitioner's view of what the country needed to grow: not just capital, but organized, patient industrial capacity.

That conviction led him to found Adaeng Development Co., Ltd., registered in Kampong Speu Province, with a mandate spanning land development, agricultural trade, and infrastructure facilitation. Adaeng became the proving ground for a thesis Vichetr had carried for years: that Cambodia's raw agricultural and land assets, properly organized and connected to serious investors, could be turned into durable industrial value rather than exported as unprocessed potential. Adaeng Land and affiliated ventures followed, extending that thesis into real estate and agro-industrial development.

As the ambitions of his ventures outgrew a single company, Vichetr co-founded Huacams Holding Group, a holding structure built to oversee a portfolio of six special purpose vehicles across renewable energy, real estate, infrastructure, and industrial estates. Huacams gave his growing body of work a disciplined corporate architecture, allowing energy and infrastructure projects, including utility-scale solar development, to be pursued alongside real estate and industrial estate ventures under coordinated governance rather than as scattered initiatives. It also gave international partners, from development finance institutions to strategic investors, a single, transparent structure to evaluate rather than a loose collection of independent deals.

Industrial growth, in Vichetr's view, carries an obligation to the communities it grows around. That belief took formal shape in the Saosary Foundation, a Cambodian nonprofit he founded to serve the poorest of the poor and protect vulnerable children, including through school infrastructure projects in provinces such as Koh Kong. As Executive Director, Vichetr treats the Foundation with the same operational discipline he brings to his companies, insisting on documented, accountable delivery rather than symbolic giving. For him, the Foundation is not a separate chapter from his industrial work but its counterweight: proof that development and empowerment are meant to move together.

Today, Uon Vichetr works across energy, real estate, industrial development, and philanthropy, guided by the same premise that has shaped his entire career: that Cambodia's future should be built by Cambodians, for Cambodians, with the discipline to attract serious international partners along the way.
